I received my Ph.D. in computer science from ETH Zurich, jointly advised by Niao He from ETH Zurich and Michael Muehlebach from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. I am affiliated with the Max Planck ETH Center for Learning Systems. I also closely collaborate with Sewoong Oh from University of Washington and Kiran Koshy Thekumparampil from Amazon.
Prior to this, I received my master's degree in computer science from ETH Zurich in 2021 and bachelor's degree in physics from Peking University in 2019.
My research focuses on the intersection between optimization and machine learning, and I have a keen interest in developing efficient optimization algorithms for trustworthy machine learning. My current research targets the efficient training of large language models (LLMs), particularly on:
